Times works hard to land bumper
Lean Times had to work to land the odds in the concluding bumper at Kilbeggan under Nina Carberry.
The 4/6 favourite was at the head of affairs for most but had to get down to work running to the straight after a slow early gallop.
The Noel Meade-trained gelding kept on well in the closing stages to post a three-parts-of-a-length victory over Glenstar The Bishop's Day was just a short-head back in third.
Trainer Noel Meade was not on hand to see the winner.
