A 10,000 guineas purchase last October by trainer Peter Fahey at Tattersalls, Attraction Ticket a four time winner for David Simcock cross-channel, caused a 14/1 surprise in first time blinkers under Billy Lee in the Dundalk Driving Tourism Forward Rated Race.
The victorious Selkirk gelding got the better of the The Ring Is King (9s into 6s) by a neck with four and a half lengths back to the third placed Hoe Hoe
"That was a proper surprise," exclaimed Fahey.
He added: "He pulled up over hurdles the last day and he just couldn't go on the real heavy winter ground.
"At home he's not been showing anything and I put the blinkers on to try and sharpen him up after running over hurdles.
"He was bought in Newmarket last autumn and Jason Barnes from Wexford set up the syndicate. He organised it with a few friends (the Surfnturf Syndicate, present for this win).
"It's great for them. He's the first horse they've had together." (AM & EM)
