The Rock surprises again
Baily Rock has been a good horse to Mouse Morris, part of a double for him at Punchestown back in May and one of his fabulous hat-trick at Tipperary in July (part of Slippers Madden's four-timer that day) and the son of Supreme Leader again did the Everardsgrange handler a big turn when landing the featured Kilkenny Racing Festival Handicap Hurdle under Martin Ferris.
The 16/1 chance (a 25/1 and a 20/1 chance on the other occasions that he's won) led after two out and held the challenging Cloone Stream (9/2 into 7/2) by half a length. Cloone Stream can be considered unlucky as he was hampered three out, wasn't fluent at the last and Ruby Walsh lost his whip on the run-in.
Bulhill Flyer unfortunately broke a hind leg before two out.
