Churchill colt The Acropolis put in a smooth performance to get off the mark in the juvenile maiden at Listowel.
It was a first UK or Ireland winner first for the sire who won both the British and Irish 2,000 Guineas in his racing career.
The 5/4 favourite stalked Swift One and readily passed that hard at work rival approaching the final furlong. Thunder Eclipse tried to mount a challenge inside the furlong pole but The Acropolis was driven out to assert in the closing stages.
He scored by three and a half lengths from the 13/8 runner-up.
Jockey Wayne Lordan said: "He benefitted from his first start and has come forward. He jumped and travelled and quickened up and got to the line well. Riding him on a track like this, he feels like he could improve plenty from it.
"He is a fine big strong two-year-old and is a very likeable horse, and always did well at home.
"The Churchills are very good movers and give you a very good feel."
The Acropolis had finished fourth on debut at the Curragh last month.
