Ten up for O'Connell on City
City Of Doral jointly headed the market for the huge field [email protected] Handicap Hurdle on the back of a Navan success and he proved up to the task for trainer James Lambe.
The son of Double Trigger fought off the determined Nans Best by three lengths with two and a half lengths back to Razorlite with Retrievethelegend staying on for fourth a further two lengths back.
The winning trainer was an absentee but successful rider Eddie O'Connell, a good seven pound claimer, said: "He pricked his ears when he hit the front but I got him going again. That's my tenth winner, five as an amateur and the same number as a pro."
