Tee tops for Gray
Lord Tee under a string drive from Stephen Gray, got the better of Jamadiel in a thrilling finish to win the Toals Bet On Irish Lotto Handicap Chase at Downpatrick today.
The winner tracked the leaders, improved to lead from the third last, and although joined from the next, battled gamely to eventually prove a half length too good for Jamadiel.
Afterwards winning trainer George Kingston, who was recording his fifth winner, reported "I was worried about the fast ground as I thought it might have been a bit too lively for him."
The win was Dundalk jockey Gray's 23rd career success, and his second of the month.
