Pat Smullen rode his second winner this week for Michael O'Callaghan when Giselle's Charm ran out a cosy winner of the auction maiden at Navan tonight.
The 6/4 shot was to the fore throughout in the five-furlong contest and was asked to stretch going to the furlong pole.
She kept on strongly in the closing stages to post a three-and-a-quarter length victory over 10/11 favourite Glenamoy Lad
The winner had been second at Fairyhouse on her last outing when chasing home Brooklyn's Rose.
“She's a pacey little filly and we thought at Fairyhouse coming back a furlong would be no problem,” said Smullen.
“The bit of experience helped her. Hopefully she can go on from here. I thought her form was good enough to win tonight.”
