Shock win for Magdoodle
Magdoodle provided the Doyle family from Dunlavin with a surprise but welcome winner in the two miles and seven furlongs Drogheda Handicap Hurdle.
The 28/1 chance, paid €42.10 for a win on the Tote, was prominently ridden by Barry Cash, leading at halfway and had the race in safe-keeping before the last.
The strapping six-year-old mare kept on strongly on the run-in to beat Windwood Lad (20/1) by seven lengths, with Namarama (8/1) another neck away in third.
Morning price gamble Doc Hollywood 20/1 earlier today and supported down to 11/2 favourite, never really showed with a chance and kept on onepaced to finish eighth.
