Dave Myerscough won the Derrinstown Stud Apprentice Handicap with Shinkansen with Padraig Beggy doing the steering for owners CWC Syndicate.

Beggy who always prominent, led early straight, was clear from over 1f out and stayed on well to win by a comfortable 3 lengths hands and heels.

Beggy a native of County Kildare is apprenticed to Myerscough and is enjoying a very fine season recording his 14th winner of the year.
