The Willie McCreery trained Shifting sprang a 25/1 surprise in the last at Gowran, the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden.
The bay daughter of Oratorio had three runs to her name before today finishing a decent sixth on her debut at Dundalk behind That Boy David last month before finishing down the field on her next two starts at Naas.
After racing in mid-division in the early stages she made ground under Danny Grant on the inner in the straight before hitting the front over a furlong out.
She kept on well from there to record a length and a quarter victory from the 4/5 favourite Power To Please (who raced keenly in the early stages) in second for Niall McCullagh and Ger Lyons. Empress Of Tara completed the placings a further three parts of a length back in third under Conor Hoban for Jessica Harrington at 7/1.
Winning trainer Willie McCreery said afterwards: "The better ground helped her today.
"She was the first off the bridle but Danny said once she met the rising ground she took off.
"It took her a while to learn her trade and Danny gave her a lovely ride. Her dam was a very good mare in Italy so it’s important to get that win.
"Her owner Mick Daly is from Enfield."
