The Tony Martin trained Shemshal gained his second win of the summer and his first on the flat when landing the Outsource 360 Maiden at Bellewstown today under jockey Wayne Lordan.
Shemshal, a maiden hurdle winner in May, overcame a slow start but made good headway along the inner in the closing stages to edge past Intisaab close home for a half length win.
Afterwards Martin stated “it took him a while to win one but he's not a bad horse and just needs things to go right for him.
“He's a better horse on better ground and he doesn't really go on winter ground.”
