Schindlers returns to form
Schindlers Hunt appreciated the step up in trip to 2m5f when recording a surprise 16/1 victory in the Leopardstown Handicap Chase.
Paddy Flood 's mount was never far off the pace, leading before five out and keeping on gamely in the straight to beat Kilcrea Castle by four lengths.
The 7/4 favourite Finger Onthe Pulse could find no extra from the home turn finishing a further length and a half adrift in third.
'He was running so well over two miles last season that we stuck with it. It's nice to see that he gets that trip, and he might even stay three miles,' said trainer Dessie Hughes.
He added, 'He appreciated the better ground and will get an entry in the Ryanair Chase.'
