Consistent mare Miss Sapphire claimed a third career win at Kilbeggan today, landing the Kilbegganraces On Snapchat Novice Hurdle for Champion Trainer Willie Mullins and his nephew jockey Danny Mullins.
The daughter of Flemensfirth had won twice and been placed thrice on each of her previous starts and today responded to a forceful Mullins ride to score a two and a half length win over Mr Showtime
Afterwards jockey Mullins said “she's tough and consistent, and is improving every day.
"The rain is getting into the ground a bit but they do a great job here, and produce lovely ground every year."
The winner carries the colours of the Blue Blood Racing Club, which is a Garda Siochana formed syndicate with 120 members.
