Rookie trainer Laura Hourigan registered a third success at Dundalk today with Notforalongtime (5/1), which completed consecutive wins in the Book Online At DundalkStadium.com Handicap.
The son of Paco Boy had notched a hat-trick of consecutive wins in 2019/20 for UK trainer Clive Cox and today, under jockey Mark Enright, followed up an October course success when fending off Tynamite by a head.
Hourigan, based at her father Michael Hourigan's Patrickswell yard, said “he’s travelled very well and is rejuvenated since I started coming up here. He’s come with his problems and has taken a lot of sweetening up but he’s turned inside out now.
“I was cautious about getting one from Clive Cox and thinking can you improve them, but it’s great.
“Mark was very good on him again and said he was just doing enough in front. Hopefully he’s okay in the morning and I think there is another race in a few weeks.”
