Our Brian landed a punt in the Tote Supporting Downpatrick Racecourse Handicap Hurdle for the Philip Rothwell yard with Ricky Doyle in the plate.
Clipped into 11/2 from 6/1 on track, Our Brian was reportedly supported down from as big as 20/1 earlier, and he justified the confidence in good style from Santa Anna Five and a half length separated them at the finish.
Our Brian won here in the past, when in the care of John Paul Brennan.
"Philip had him in great order today. He had a win around here before and seems to enjoy it. He won well," said Doyle.
"They were quietly confident that he would run a good race. They knew he would come up the hill well, so if he was in any way with them at the last we knew we had a shout.
"The way he won there you would think there would be more in him.
"He'll jump fences and he'll win a few handicap chases, so he's not done yet."
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Perfect In Pink (GB), trained by Mark Michael McNiff, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be clinically abnormal post race.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Creasted Court trained by Michael Winters, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
