Oscar on National trail
Oscar Time set out on a season that will be geared towards the John Smith's Grand National next April when a promising second to Rick in the two and three quarter mile Rock Of Cashel Hurdle at Thurles this afternoon.
The nine-year-old's trainer Martin Lynch explained: “He was bought by the Waley-Cohen's a month ago for Sam to ride, and the plan is the John Smith's Grand National. This was a good first step on the way.”
Sam Waley-Cohen was also pleased with the run saying: “I'm delighted. He's a lovely ride and chasing is obviously his game. It's my first time riding in Ireland and it's been a fantastic experience. Everybody has been so kind to me and made me feel very welcome.”
