Jockey Tom Doyle partnered his first winner of the week when steering John Brassil’s Novel Investment to win the Tote Telebet 1850 238 669 Handicap Hurdle at Galway today.

Afterwards Brassil stated “Novel Investment was a bit unlucky when he slipped on landing at the second last flight at Limerick the last day and deserved that win.”

“We may run him again on Saturday in another handicap hurdle and he seems to be better going right-handed.”

The win was Doyle’s 79th in Ireland since the Kilkenny rider returned to Ireland in the ‘07/08 season, having regularly ridden 50 winners a season in Britain.
