Nolan takes opener at Cork
Brian Nolan was continuing his good run when landing the opening race at Cork this evening, The Mourne Abbey Hurdle with 11/4 shot Kaprun under Mick Darcy in the colours of Mrs Mary Halligan.
Winning trainer Nolan said afterwards, "I'm having an unbelievable run the horses are running out of their skins. We thought this lad a great chance today, Mick [Darcy] said they went a bit slow for him that he'd be better suited to better races. We have him entered in the Champion 4 Year Old Hurdle at Punchestown and if he comes out of the race sound we'll probably head there."
