It got rough late on among the placed horses in the second split of the Test Your Tipping Talents At PUNTERS.HOLLYWOODBETS.COM Every Dundalk Meeting Handicap. Everyhouronthehour avoided any hassle down the inner to win at 11/1.
After a steward’s enquiry the judge’s placings remained unaltered, and the William Ross owned and trained Everyhouronthehour was confirmed the nose victor from Jack Berry House
It was just a head and the same then, to third and fourth home, Chagall and Adapt To Dan
Winning jockey Tom 'Socks' Madden wasn't sure if he was up, saying: - “It's hard to know here. They went very hard and I struggled the whole way but to be fair to him he's a big tough genuine horse and all he does is stay.
“Inside the last furlong I thought I had a chance and he has finished out well. I think that's him done for the year now.”
C.T. Keane, rider of Jack Berry House (GB) trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount drifted left late on.
James J. Doyle, rider of Adapt To Dan trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got tight for room in the closing stages.
R.P. Whelan, rider of Overtake (GB) trained by M.Halford, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount wandered under pressure.
S. Foley, rider of Northern Surprise trained by Timothy Doyle, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never let himself down in the straight.
The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the final furlong involving Chagall, ridden by M.A. Enright, placed third, Jack Berry House (GB), ridden by C.T. Keane, placed second, Adapt To Dan, ridden by James J. Doyle, placed fourth and Overtake (GB), ridden by R.P. Whelan, placed fifth. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge's placings and took no further action.
