No sweat for L'Ami
L'Ami did what his odds suggested he should in the Event Power Risk Of Thunder Steeplechase to give owner J P McManus and trainer Enda Bolger a second cross-country prize in as many days following Garde Champetre's big win at Cheltenham yesterday.
J T McNamara led before two out travelling well on the 4/11 shot and he was soon clear, going on to account for Benefit Night by eighteen lengths.
Bolger commented: "I hope Nina is okay after her fall from Zest For Life she is not used to being catapulted (she is fine). This fella might go to Cheltenham's December meeting. He is starting to enjoy it now and Garde Champetre is grand after yesterday but they had terrible weather in England last night so he's not home yet. Hopefully he'll make it back tonight."
