New York Angel brings up quick Murtagh double
New York Angel and Danny Sheehy left win the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Handicap from Needle Lace right.

New York Angel completed a quick double for Johnny Murtagh when making all to win the featured Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies & Mares Handicap at Gowran Park.
A consistent filly up to now, the Mark Dobbin owned daughter of Zoffany made the breakthrough at the seventh attempt.
Danny Sheehy was determined to get the four-year-old away from stalls and into the lead and once doing so the pair never saw another rival.
Given the manner in which the winner quickened once asked to lengthen, it would be no surprise to now she her go on from here.
Completing a double, Johnny Murtagh added; “I was getting a little bit frustrated with her because she always works well at home.
“She’s a big girl and she’s probably getting fitter with each run. We’ll keep at her and hopefully she’ll be able to win again.
“She always promised to do something like this and I’m just glad that it has all come together for her.”
