The Fozzy Stack-trained gelding handled soft ground when runner-up in a maiden at Tipperary recently and persistent rain turned the ground soft before this second race on the card.
The 100/30 favourite was prominent throughout and asserted from the furlong pole under Jamie Powell staying on strongly to beat Distillate by three and a quarter lengths. Cholita was a further length and a half back in third.

“I knew this lad would get through the ground well as he’s a big, strong horse.”
