Naas passes inspection
Today's meeting at Naas, featuring the eagerly awaited return to action of Captain Cee Bee goes ahead after the course was found to be fit for racing following a precautionary inspection at 7.30 this morning.
The Eddie Harty-trained gelding, winner of the 2008 Supreme Novices Hurdle but sidelined since disappointing at Aintree the following month, is switched to fences in the two mile Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners Chase. Zaarito An Cathaoir Mor and Sorceror provide the chief opposition to Tony McCoy's mount in a maximum line-up of 18. The Listed Fishery Lane Hurdle sees Torphichen Ebadiyan and the progressive Arabella Boy all go head-to-head also over two miles.
The going is described as heavy, and the first of a seven race card commences at 12.20pm.
