Murphy records Leopardstown double
The Ryans Event Cleaners Beginners Chase saw an impressive winner in the Colm Murphy trained Zaarito after he ran out an eight length winner under Denis O’Regan.
Zaarito made it a double on the day for the in-form Wexford trainer who took the ITBA Mares Hurdle with Voler La Vedette
O’Regan took up the lead travelling well at the second last and kept on good style to post an eight length win over top weight Browns Baily
Winning trainer Murphy said afterwards: “He could go up or down in trip. I’m delighted in the manor in which he won."
“He was misfortunate to come against Captain Cee Bee the last day and we all saw what he did earlier in the week.”
“He will more than likely come back here for the Arkle.”
