Murphy & Lordan 'share' Gowran double
Smiles all round at Gowran

John Murphy and Wayne Lordan, both successful earlier on the card at Gowran with High Octane and Horizon Sky respectively, doubled their scores when combining with Ibsen in the second divide of the Goresbridge Handicap. However they had to share the spoils with the Seamus Fahey-trained, Shane Foley-ridden Hazariban
That one, a handicap first-timer, looked a forlorn hope from the two furlong pole as he was struggling to close down the leaders. However he powered home inside the final furlong to force a dead-heat with Ibsen on the line.
The handicapper can be proud of his efforts here and Mountain Woman was just half a length back in third.
Seamus Fahey said: "I was happy to take the dead-heat. He's a horse that seems to have improved a lot and he may go hurdling."
Outsider Maybe Its For Luck pulled up about a furlong out here and her rider Ben Curtis reported that the bit went through her mouth. Silas Mariner (9th) was reported to have been off the bridle turning into the straight before staying on well in the latter stages. (AM & EM)
