Danny Mullins suffered a knee injury at Newbury yesterday that could leave him on the sidelines for some time, while there are also a number of significant non-runners at Navan this afternoon.
Mullins picked up the knock after a fall from Dicosimo in the Betfair Hurdle, and misses the ride on Pleasant Company in the Ten Up Novice Chase.
His cousin David Mullins is now on board the Presenting gelding in this Grade 2 three-mile event, while the field has been reduced to just six runners with Monksland (temperature) and Wrath Of Titans (change in going) both taken out.
Mikey Fogarty takes over from Mullins on Glenbank King in the opening two-mile maiden hurdle.
The Ladbrokes Ireland Boyne Hurdle has lost much of it's interest with Prince Of Scars (stone bruise) and Val De Ferbet (coughing) both non-runners, leaving just three going to post.
Val De Ferbet was due to be Andy McNamara's first runner since recently taking out a training licence.
The going is now officially heavy.
