Jeffrey Mulhern's two previous winners under Rules were 33/1 shot, Frankford and 25/1 chance Benefit Gale and the County Laois-based handler struck again at 'double-carpet,' when Storm Of Swords gave the bookmakers another 'result' in the concluding Ratoath INH Flat Race at Fairyhouse.
Half-an-hour on from the 28/1 Lord Alfie shock, Storm Of Swords got a good ride from the front with Niall Kelly dictating to his twenty one rivals aboard the victorious Beneficial chestnut.
He wasn't for catching inside the final quarter mile and staying on well from over a furlong out Storm Of Swords accounted for Sonny B by five and a half lengths.
Mulhern revealed: "He's an exceptional horse at home. We were hoping for a bit of softer ground but he handled that.
"He did exactly what we were hoping he'd do. We've only two in training and if someone comes to buy him he'll be sold.
"He has an engine and he has toe. He has everything." (GC & EM)
