The Jerry Cosgrave trained Mount Colah claimed his seventh career win in the Grade C Foxrock Handicap Chase at Navan today, powering away in the closing stages for a comfortable win under regular rider Noel McParlan.
The son of Beneficial had pulled up on his only previous handicap chase start but made no mistake today, recording an 11 lengths win over Fever Pitch
Following the win jockey stated McParlan “he's a smashing little horse and the best that I've ridden. We've been trying to get him to settle and the hood has helped this season.
“That's as good as he's ever felt.”
