Monishter Are Mwee provided Jayne Hearne with her first success in the training ranks, as she sprang a 33/1 surprise in the Cashel Maiden Hurdle.
An excellent third on debut at the Punchestown Festival in April, the daughter of Curtain Time failed to make an impact on her last two starts and was fitted with a hood for the first time today.
Towards rear early, she made progress from five out and closed on the front-running Guily Billy as they approached the second last.
Pushed along to lead shortly after that flight, the Ian Power ridden five-year-old kept on well under pressure on the run-in, going on to prevail by two lengths.
Guily Billy, who was returned the 1/3 favourite, had to settle for second under Rachael Blackmore, while Seafort Mancy (4/1) was another five lengths away in third.
"That's my first winner and I'm learning as I go! I got my license last autumn and she is the only horse I have - she is my pet," Hearne, who is based in Co Waterford revealed.
"She had been knocking on the door a few times and really flashed the first day she ran. We were unlucky then a couple of times since and I'd say she'll go on any ground.
"I only rode a handful of winners as a jockey (rode as Jayne Mulqueen) but had loads of rides and started off with Dermot Weld, was with Frances Crowley and then worked for Joe Crowley."
The winner is owned by Hearne's husband Denis and John Bermingham.
STEWARDS REPORT
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Fourneux D'isanka (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
