Bumper and flat maiden winner Monas Melody (10/1) won Bellewstown's finale today, the Panda Power (QR) Handicap for trainer Sam Curling, owner Alfred Sweetnam and jockey Derek O'Connor.
The daughter of Ruler Of The World previously won a Punchestown bumper in September 2020, a Killarney flat maiden in July 2021 and today improved markedly on a pulled up run in the Connaught Hotel Amateur Handicap at the Galway festival.
Curling later said "we knew the Galway run was too bad to be true - we knew something was wrong. The ground was a bit slower and today she liked the ground, although she isn't totally ground-dependent.
"Derek won a bumper on her in Punchestown and got her home nicely. We are delighted with that, she did that very well.”
