Meade/Carberry in double form
The Noel Meade trained Oscar Looby was handed the Irish EBF Novice Listed Chase after the 4/7 favourite Catch Me crashed out at the last.
Paul Carberry who made most of the running aboard the Oscar gelding was just headed by the favourite when he fell at the last.
Carberry was then left in a clear lead and kept on well on the run-in to hold off the fast finishing Caim Hill by two lengths.
A relieved Meade said afterwards: “That’s two from two now and he looked an unlikely winner in both. It was great to get the win.”
“I’m not sure where we’ll go next but I suppose the Drinmore is a possibility now.”
