Meade doubles up in another maiden
Noel Meade completed a maiden hurdle double at Down Royal today when his Ipsos Du Berlais eased to an impressive winning hurdle debut in the Allianz Maiden Hurdle, under Davy Russell.
Carrying the Gigginstown House Stud colours, the French bred gelding’s biggest danger was the attentions of a loose horse in the straight but he did eventually win by a hard held five lengths from Inside Shadow
Afterwards Meaded stated “Ipsos Du Berlais isn’t overly big but three miles is no problem to him and he loves soft ground.”
“You’d have to be happy with him today and he’ll have a month off now before possibly going to Cork for a Grade 3 novice hurdle.”
