Bowerman is one of 10 declared for the Christmas Party Nights At Dundalk Stadium Handicap, the sixth race on an eight race card at the Co Louth venue this evening.
A nine-time winner, the Adrian McGuiness trained eight-year-old has been disappointing since his most recent success, which came at the all-weather circuit in February.
Now stepping up in trip to a mile-and-a-half, McGuinness is hopeful of an improved showing from the Dutch Art gelding.
"I'm stepping him up to a mile-and-a-half. He's in very good form and is in the ownership of my wife and Shamrock Thoroughbreds now," the Co Dublin handler revealed.
"When you stand and look down the straight here (Dundalk), there is not really that much difference between the mile and a half and the mile two and a bit.
"He wasn't really enjoying life over the mile here when he was getting high (in the ratings) and he is well down. I think he'll enjoy life and they'll be going a bit easier. His class might show and we'll see what happens."
