A few horses have attracted support ahead of this afternoon’s eight race card at Naas, albeit some non-runners who were prominent in the betting for their races have obviously impacted some markets as well. Nullifier was a pleasing sixth on debut in a course and distance maiden last month, and Ger Lyons’ charge has been supported from 11/2 to 7/2 for the opener at 1.15pm. For The Trees (8/1 into 9/2) and Flaming Moon (11/2 into 3/1) have been popular for the Birdcatcher Nursery at 2.20, with Mount Fuji and Koolasice not taking part leaving just seven to line up.
Yesterday’s Group 3 winner Stela Star doesn’t go in the Foran Equine Auction Series Final at 2.55, and in her absence stablemate Miss Myers has shortened from 11/1 to 11/2. Schroders Mistake (11/2 into 3/1) is also popular with punters for the day’s most valuable event.
In the Garnet Stakes over a mile at 3.30, Joseph O’Brien’s Curragh maiden winner Lovee Dovee has been backed from 11/1 into 7/1, with each-way support for stablemate Jumellea (33s into 16s) and also Paddy Twomey’s Silk Forest (25/1 into 12/1).
