Local trainer Mark McNiff send Red Ball Of Fire into action at Sligo this evening and his charge has been well supported for the extended mile and a quarter handicap at 7.50.
The five-year-old mare was third over a similar trip at this track on her penultimate start before taking the runner-up berth in a mares' handicap hurdle at Downpatrick.
She goes to work from stall two and Siobhan Rutledge claims 5lb. She is as short as 13/8 from as big as 11/2.
Her two career victories came over hurdles in Sligo.
