The Edward O'Grady trained Time For Mabel has tumbled in price this morning for the Fitzpatrick Gallagher McEvoy Handicap at Leopardstown despite having to compete from 3Lbs out of the handicap.
The ex-French gelding was a general 14/1 chance when betting opened but is now only 5/1 as sustained support continues for the bottom weight.
Time For Mabel, twice a winner on the flat in his native France and a maiden hurdle winner at Ballinrobe last year has shown little on two recent all-weather runs to indicate that significant improvement was imminent.
Capable apprentice Killian Leonard takes a valuable 7Lbs off his back today and the recent rain in Dublin is also a plus for the soft ground winner.
The official ground at Leopardtstown is Good, Good to Yielding in places.
