Trainer Anthony McCann registered his second winner in three days when his Little Camacho landed the Weatherbys General Stud Book Handicap at Down Royal today under 7lbs claimer Andrew Slattery.
The three year old filly was today beating many of her elders, including the year older runner-up Althib and afterwards McCann said “she was tough, Camachos are a tough sort of a breed!
“I always told Patrick (McCann, owner) there was a nice race in her and she got a bad draw in Dundalk the last day but she has improved; she was very green the last day.
"It's great to another one on the board this week. The horses are starting to click and I owe it to the staff and owners for the support they give the yard.
"She loves it around Dundalk. We'll see what the handicapper does and we'll have a look."
