Shanghai Glory (14/1) recorded his biggest success to date, as he took the Listed Eimer Hannon Travel Waterford Testimonial Stakes under William Buick for Charlie Hills.
A winner of handicaps at Lingfield and Epsom earlier in the season, he was last seen finishing fourth in a seven furlong contest at Doncaster last month.
Dropped back to six furlongs today, and upped in class, the chestnut victor broke smartly to lead, before settling behind the leaders.
He was pushed along with two furlongs to race, and hit the front with a furlong to go, keeping on well under pressure from there, going on to score by a length. Master Speaker (12/1) flew home on the outer, but had to settle for second under Colm O'Donoghue for Martin Hassett, while Bebhinn (11/1) was a head back in third under Chris Hayes for Kevin Prendergast. G Force was sent off the 10/3 favourite and he was another head away in fourth, with Pat Smullen in the saddle for Adrian Keatley.
Buick said afterwards: "He likes that ground. He was always travelling well and picked up good. He probably won a bit cosy in the end."
