Limestone Rock galloped his rivals into submission with a powerful front-running performance in the first division of the I.N.H. Stallion Owners EBF Maiden Hurdle at Naas.
Mouse Morris' charge put in a fine round of jumping and picked up well down the straight when asked for an effort by Philip Enright.
The Leading Light gelding was ridden away from the second last as Il Courra gave chase. He stayed on stoutly in the closing stages to record a five length success.
3/1 winner Limestone Rock had been third on his hurdling debut at the track 18 days ago and was stepping up to two-miles-three this afternoon.
Morris said:- “He’s a nice horse and one for next year. He jumps well and I’d say he’s crying out for fences. He hasn’t run a bad race and may have just one more run this season.”
