- Levey gets Lus home
Levey gets Lus home
Lus Na Hoiche despite Sean Levey putting up a pound overweight, proved a length and a quarter too good for Torina in the Europe Hotel & Resort Handicap.
Sharon Dunphy trains the winner for Simon Mullin from Mountbellew, County Galway and it was the second success for the daughter of Fath under Dunphy's guidance. She was previously a winner for Michelle Gannon.
Dunphy explained: "I am currently renting a yard near Carrick On Suir. That win was badly needed and the filly deserved it. She has been knocking on the door the whole time and I was fairly confident coming here.
"I didn't mind that Sean was putting up a pound overweight. She had the ease in the ground that she needs. She'll go to Ballinrobe on Monday now if she's alright to try to win a race there for the second year running."
