Lethal Weapon wins thriller
The J.P. McManus owned 3-y-o Lethal Weapon maintained his unbeaten record over hurdles when defeating his chief market rival Tharawaat by one length in the Grade 1 Durkan New Homes Juvenile Hurdle.
Lethal Weapon is now quoted at 12/1 with William Hill for the Triumph Hurdle at Cheltenham,Tharawaat is 14/1.
Christy Roche said afterwards: 'Hurdles have made a man of him. The faster the pace the better it suits him. He is not certain to go to Cheltenham, I would want to see further improvement from him before making that decision.'
