Lend A Hand Son prevails in driving finish
Lend A Hand Son responded to Ruby Walsh's urgings to collar Domination and Davy Russell and land the two mile novice hurdle at Sligo by a neck.
Michael Hourigan's charge was returned at 2/1 after being backed from 4/1 in the morning. Domination went off the 4/6 market leader.
Three of the four members of the winning Golf At Ballyneety Syndicate were in attendance withe the missing member holding a valid excuse as he was flying to Chicago. Ballyneety Golf Course is located near Michael Hourigan's Limerick yard. The trainer was at Ballysteen point-to-point meeting today.
The syndicate also had Kilbeggan Lad with Hourigan who won seven races for them. They were full of praise for Walsh's ride as he used the inner rail to good effect to land the spoils.
