Laurina was sent off at very skimpy odds on her Irish debut in the opener at Tramore and duly won as her price suggested she might.
The French-import went to post a 1/4 shot on her first outing for Willie Mullins in the two mile mares maiden hurdle.
Paul Townend settled behind the leaders on the hotpot and after a slight scare at the first it proved plain sailing for the daughter of Spanish Moon.
She jumped up to challenge three from home and sauntered clear before the penultimate flight. Townend didn't need to ask her any questions to record a 15 length victory.
The winner had been runner-up over timber in France before her switch to Mullins.
Townend said afterwards:- "She was very good. She's a tank of a filly and is like sitting on a gelding.
“She loved the ground and had the experience in France. She was showing us that at home and to be honest we would have been disappointed if she didn't do that.
“If they can keep her in one piece they will have fun with her."
