Knockmaole Boy notched a hat-trick of wins in the concluding Caulfieldindustrial.com Handicap at Galway today, following up a pair of recent hurdle wins for trainer Gordon Elliott.
Ridden today by Leigh Roche, the son of Echo Of Light quickened to the front inside the final furlong before beating Allegio by half a length.
Elliott, who was recording his first winner of the week, later stated “he’s a grand horse and has done us proud this year. He didn’t cost a whole lot and we’re having loads of fun with him.
“He probably isn’t an out-and-out two miler (over hurdles), he only just gets home and we might run him later in the week; we’ll run him all being well.”
