Four previous visits to Dundalk hadn't yielded a win for Knight's Parade but off a 133 day break he returned to the polytrack to land the concluding Ladbrokes (Q.R.) Handicap in good style under Lisa O'Neill.
The Dark Angel gelding now has three ones to his name, as he added to hurdling wins at Downpatrick and Carlisle in the autumn, by leading a furlong and a half out, keeping on well from over a furlong out for a three and a quarter length win from Zeftan
"I'm delighted for Lisa. She's been in the yard a long time and it's her first winner for me," disclosed winning trainer Gordon Elliott.
"He's entered in the County Hurdle and if he gets in he'll run." (AM & EM)
