Trainer Willie McCreery and jockey Bill Lee completed a Killarney double today as All Lies Ahead (3/1) improved on a recent debut run to win the Killarney Race Goers Club Maiden.
The pair were successful in the half-hour earlier race with Royal Ascot-bound Cigamia and All Lies Ahead, a daughter of Make Believe, scored comfortably by a length and a quarter from True Artist
Afterwards McCreery reported “Davy Hyland bred her so I’m delighted for him and Sarah. She was just a backward filly last year and so we gave her time. I thought she ran a lovely race in Limerick when Nathan (Crosse) rode her, he was very kind to her.
“She was a bit free with Billy but he said it rode like good ground on her — she loved the ground. We’ll probably try to find a 'winners-of-one' next, but we’ll give her a bit of time because she’s had two quick runs.”
