Jockey Karen Kenny, who was taken away by air ambulance following a heavy fall at Tramore today, is reported to be “much more stable now”, having received treatment at Cork University Hospital.
Kenny left the track in a semi-conscious state and having been sent for scans. an upbeat Dr McGoldrick has reported: “Karen is much more stable now than she was when she was leaving here. She has suffered a subdural haemorrhage and she will be observed overnight.”
Seven pounds claimer Kenny fell when her mount Our Pearl appeared to clip heels with winner Hurricane Volta rounding the final turn for the opening contest.
