Gordon Elliott marked his 46th birthday with a 21/1 plus treble as Jumping Jet coped best with the testing ground conditions in the concluding NavanRaceourse.ie Mares Handicap Chase.
This meeting only got the go ahead following an early morning inspection and the well-backed 2/1 chance stretched clear after the penultimate fence.
The eight-year-old kept on well on the run-in under Danny Gilligan, who was partnering a double on the card having also taken the opener on Charming Star to ultimately score by all of 61 lengths. Kates Hill could find no extra after the second last and did well to survive a blunder at the last as the 11/8 favourite finished a tired and distant second, with Shes Some Doll completely tailed off the only other finisher in third.
Elliott was successful earlier on the card with Instant Tendance and Ash Tree Meadow who landed the featured Grade 2 BoyleSports Webster Cup Chase.
Elliott said, "That was great. It's been a good day, my birthday and all, so I can't complain.
“She was honest and tough. They went very fast and it suited her well.”
