Jenari cruises to success
Jenari was a short-priced favourite in the first division of the bumper at Gowran Park and duly landed the spoils in good style.
The 9/10 favourite took closer order turning for home, under Mark Fahey, and the result never looked in doubt down the straight.
He hit the front a furlong-and-a-half from home and went on to record a cosy two-and-a-half length win over The Young Offender
It was an across the card double for trainer Jessica Harrington, who had also tasted Listed success at Navan with Siren's Song
The winner had played second fiddle to Waaheb on his debut at Leopardstown and is set to take on Dermot Weld's charge again at Punchestown.
"He's improved a bit from his debut and did everything right today," said the trainer's daughter Emma Galway.
"He'll go to Punchestown for the Champion Bumper and he'll make a lovely horse for hurdling next year."
