Gordon Elliott had a treble at Downpatrick on Friday evening and is represented by the long-absent Banks Boy at Cork this afternoon.
The Getaway gelding hasn’t been seen since landing a maiden hurdle over two miles at Down Royal last June.
Assistant trainer Lisa O’Neill saddled the Cullentra runners at Downpatrick and gave her assessment of the chances of Banks Boy who carries joint-topweight in the 2m4f handicap hurdle at 3.33.
"Danny (Gilligan) is taking 7lb off his back. Fingers crossed the taking 7lb off is really going to help him.
"He showed us he had plenty of ability when he won his maiden in Down Royal.
"I suppose he has had a few little niggly things along the way like every other horse.
"We are looking forward to his run, he has been back in for a while now and hopefully he will go there with all guns blazing."
